Soft Pad Chairs by Vitra – prestigious comfort in a second lifecycle

The Soft Pad Group chair family dates from 1969.  In terms of both construction and shape, the Soft Pad Chairs are similar to the design of the Aluminium Group. However, their sewn-on cushions create a striking contrast to the slender aluminium profiles. The Soft Pad Chair is softer and more opulent than the chairs of the Aluminium Group, without sacrificing any of their transparency and clarity.  The chairs adapt to the body and provide pleasant seated comfort.

The Soft Pad Group comprises various models for professional use: the Soft Pad Chairs EA 205/207/208 offer soft comfort in upscale meeting and conference areas. The models EA 217 and EA 219 are the task chairs of the chair family and, thanks to their prestigious appearance, are particularly suited to management areas. Their tilt mechanism can be adjusted to the user’s weight and, combined with the soft cushioning, provides a high level of comfort.

Vitra has produced the Soft Pad Chair programme for decades at an unchanged level of quality.

At Vitra Circle for Contract, these icons are refurbished with the utmost care: the pre-owned chairs are fully disassembled, aluminium and chrome parts are polished, the upholstery is individually renewed according to your wishes, and at the Vitra factory the Soft Pad Chairs are reassembled exactly as in the new production process. Fabrics, leathers and colours can be freely selected.
